Flowers
Many people before me have been gardners. We have gardens filled with perenials. For several years I just was content to see these bloom each year. Last year, a customer who stayed here, said she would help me with the gardens. Now I have some topsoil, mulch and plants that really can show off. I started planting more flowers as well as vegetables. This year's crop of Gladioloas has been magnificent, and we have them in the kitchen and in the barn.

Gardening
I am better at taking care of the animals, but it is rewarding to see the flowers. The potatoes are good from our garden. I prided myself this year the only thing I bought was the tomatoe plants. I thought I bought a 6 pack of early girl, but it has grown the small Cherry tomatoes. The green Jalepeno peppers came in really well, and will go into the Salsa. Schoolhouse farm in Warren is my source for tomatoes. A friend once told me that when you live in Maine you just garden.
